Hello Vehicle Consumers!
The New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), the ninth NCAP program in the world, is a program that was formed in 2011 between Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) and Global New Car Assessment Programme (Global NCAP). It was formed with the mutual objective to encourage the production of safer vehicles in the South East Asian region.
As part of our effort to be in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we strive to for all vehicles produced and sold for the ASEAN market to meet the appropriate safety standards. Thus, ASEAN NCAP performs assessment on the safety performance of new cars that are recently launched in the market.
This app brings you the list of new models that have already been assessed by ASEAN NCAP since it was formed in 2011. The rating information contained in this apps provides vehicle consumers and road users on the level of safety performance of the assessed models based on star rating from 5-Star to Zero Star. By having the star rating, consumers will be able to make an informed decision on which vehicle to purchase based on the safety level of the car.
